Update about Ivy and Sandhya : (28/05/03)

Ivy has left for Robertganj, UP on the 19th Apr '03. She is settling there as a missionary doctor with her husband in a rural area. Dr. Sandhya and husband are in Baroda these days.

John and Sheenu leave to Chennai : (22/05/03)

You might have come to known about the calling off of the strike by the Government Doctors and medical students in Tamil Nadu. That means that both John and Sheenu have to return to Chennai to get back to work. The last thing I heard about this strike is that the doctors are planning to write an apology to the Government.

Update about Joan and others : (22/05/03)

Joan is very busy with the ward work at the Department of Dermatology and Venereology. In fact, she's been so busy, she couldn't attend the recent weddings of Tanya & Rana etc. Most of our batcmates are busy preparing for the Manipal Medical Entrance on the 25th of May. About 30 persons from our batch are expected to appear on Sunday for this. All the best to all of you!

Update about Abhishek : (18/05/03)

Abhishek is very busy with his ward work in Burla, Orissa. He's on a tight schedule there with very little time for leisure or exercise. To add to it, the language problem is also there. He is in the hostel now and is getting adjusted to the food served. He's been alloted beds at the hospital and so will not be able to free himself to come to Manipal to write the entrance.

Sivaprasad's sister gets good rank; update on Dennis : (18/05/03)

Great news friends! Sivaprasad's sister got rank in the high 200s in this year's Kerala Medical Entrance Examination. She is hoping to join Trivandrum Medical College. Meanwhile, Dennis has has left to Mumbai after his brief visit to Trivandrum.

About AIIMS Entrance : (15/05/03)

The group of batchmates who went to write the AIIMS entrance examination at Delhi are back. The group included Sivaprasad, Shifas, Sudin, Jerry. The exam was relatively easy as compared to normal AIIMS entrances for most. There were many repetitions from the question papers of the previous years. The results are expected soon.

Update on Dennis and Deepak : (13/05/03)

Dennis is back in Trivandrum for a a week. He's enjoying a brief break from the M. Tech course he is doing at IIT Bombay. His progress in the course so far has been satisfactory. He'll go back to Mumbai on the 17th of May. Deepak will move into his new home on Tuesday.

Update about John and Dona Mary : (08/05/03)

Because of the continuing strike by the Medicos in Tamil Nadu, John is back in Trivandrum for a few days. In his opinion, the teaching at Institute for Child Health (I. C. H.) is not as good as in MCH/SATH. He is trying to adjust to the language problem. Dona Mary is preparing for her practical exams in Surgery and Medicine which is part of the M. D. OBGYN course at Ramachandra.

Ivy has left Trivandrum and has started working in a mission hospital at Varanasi. Dona Susan is continuing at the Chaitanya Hospital in Kesavadasapuram. Elizabeth and Anitha are preparing for the entrance staying at Kottayam. Abhishek is getting adjusted to the new environment at Burla. Raghunath has successfully presented his NEJM magazine review yesterday.

Kottayam Classes have started : (07/05/03)

This years Kottayam Classes have started this Sunday at KMC. Amonst the students our batch is represented by Siby Kurien and Biju Jacob. The first day's classes were of high standards. Dr. P. T. Update about Savithry, Chinta & Boban : (06/05/03)

Savithry Soumya is working as a Neonatologist in S. U. T. Mother and Child hospital at Pattom. Her phone number has changed to (0471) 2705776. She's preparing for the upcoming PGI Entrance Examination. Chinta Sagar is still hoping that he'll get a positive response from a University in the U. S. that he's given an application to. He's still continuing GPing. Boban P. Abraham is also looking forward to fly over to the U. S. later on this year.

Update about Deepthi B. & Sheenu : (06/05/03)

Deepthi B. and her daughter are fine. Her daughter has been named Namrita Nandagopal and is about a month old now. Sheenu is at home enjoying some holidays thanks to a strike by the Medicos in Tamil Nadu. The strike which started about 2 weeks back is not showing any sign of being called off even after negotiations between the ministers and representatives of the Medicos were held yesterday.

Update about Sabari and Aby : (02/05/03)

Sabarinath V. R. (Kochu Sabari) who is doing M. D. General Medicine at Alappuzha Medical College is having a busy time there. He has to take at least 2 duties (maximum 3) during a week since the number of Medicine Units there is only 3. Aby Madan is finding his feet in the Department of Surgery at Kottayam. He took some time to get used to the new hospital and is now doing minor procedures. In his experince, the academics at the hospital are excellent.

Tanya weds Rana on 15th of May : (01/05/03)

Tanya's wedding with Rana is on the 15th of May, 2003. It is scheduled from 10.30 AM at the Lourdes Forane Church at PMG, Thiruvananthapuram. The reception is at the Sri Mulam Club, Vazhuthacaud in Trivandrum. On behalf of the whole batch, I wish Rana and Tanya a very happy married life!

Abhishek joins tomorrow : (01/05/03)

Abhishek has reached Burla safely and will join his M. D. General Medicine course from the Friday, the 2nd of May. He had started from Trivandrum Sunday. He has taken a new mobile connection at Burla and the number is 98611 43832. Abhishek is given company by two Mallus out of which one is Dr. Shanavas (senior from '95 Batch). On behalf of the batch, I wish Abhi the very best in his PG life!

KKM's NEJM presentation : (01/05/03)

KKM's journal club (NEJM) presentation at the Medicine Department on wednesday was a grand success. This was the first experience for KK in front of the factulty and members of the Department of Medicine. Congrats KK!! The next in line is Raghunath and he will have a tough time living up to the standards set by KKM!

Update about P. K. and Joseph: (01/05/03)

Parameshwar Kumar is doing GP in a hospital in Punaloor. He has been doing so for some time now. In non-duty hours, he's busy preparing for PG Entrance Examination. He's concentrating on writing the A. F. M. C. PG Entrance Examination and has his eyes set on joining the Army. All the best in your efforts, PK! Joseph is at Trivandrum preparing for U. S. M. L. E.
