Great news guys! Arun A. George has been selected for a 3 year Medicine rotation. Abhilash P. (Professor) too has finished his 6 months HS and is on a 3 year rotation. Abhilash is coming to Kerala this December (Dec 3rd).

MCT conducts Tele-Conferencing with Mayo Clinic, USA : (22/11/03)

In the latest of the tele-conferencing sessions, the Medical College Trivandrum has succesfully conducted a session with Endocrinologists from the Mayo Clinic, USA. The session was a CME on Diabetes and it's complications. Sameer Badaruddin ('95 Batch, PG Ortho) was the chief orchestrator.

The Calicut Medical Journal, the first open-access medical journal from Kerala was launched last week. It is an excellent effort. This features fresh research articles from not only the Calicut Medical College which will be available free. That is, without pay or subscription which are a feature of regular medical journals like BMJ*, Lancet etc. The Editor in Chief of the magazine is Dr. P. V. Ramachandran (Prof. of Radiodiagnosis, Calicut Medical College) and the Executive Editor is Dr. Vinod Scaria (whose exploits on internet have been listed in the links section before). I, on behalf of the whole '96 Batch, congratulate the editorial team for it's excellent work!
