Abhishek has somehow managed to grab a few days of leave and is in Trivandrum for a week or so. He's into specialties already and is in the middle of his Cardiology posting. He'll probably return around the 5th of January.

Update about Jerry @ PGI Entrance : (28/12/03)

Jerry has given M. D. Anaesthesia as his first option during the Counselling for the November PGI Entranc examination. He is on the waiting list for M. D. Anaesthesia as of now. He is back in Trivandrum and is preparing for the All India Entrance.

Update about Shifas : (27/12/03)

Shifas has reached back in Trivandrum after the second counselling at AIIMS. He has joined M. D. Anaesthesia there and has taken leave for a month or so to write the All India Entrance.

Lekshmi, who's doing M. D. Gynecology at St. John's, has taken leave and is back at home. She's writing the All India entrance and is planning to prepare for that staying at home. Meanwhile, Maya Devi B. is also busy with preps.

Abhilash P. has reached Trivandrum for a 3 week vacation. He is currently working in a 3 year rotation in the U. K. in Internal Medicine. He's planning to return on the 8th of January.

Sundar goes to Ludhiana : (26/12/03)

Sundar Singh has left for the second counselling at C. M. C. Ludhiana. He is first on the Waiting List for M. D. Paediatrics and would only know about the status after the counselling. All the best, Sundar!

Anish MR on TV! : (15/12/03)

Great news folks! Anish MR has been given a small role in the tele-serial "Valayam" on Doordarshan (timing - from 4.20 pm to 4.50 pm on weekdays). He's donning the role of a Doctor who treats the a leading character in the serial. Not only has he acted, he has dubbed in his own voice. So watch out for that guys!

Shifas gets Anaesthesia : (10/12/03)

Shifas took M. D. Anaesthesia (as first choice) for the counselling of AIIMS Entrance examination. He had given M. D. Paediatrics (2nd choice) and is waiting for the second session of counselling. He'll return to Trivandrum after that.

Update about Chakku, Manoj, Shifas : (07/12/03)

Chakku (Ranjith S.) and Manoj Mony have returned after writing an entrance to the Army Medical College in New Delhi. The exam was relatively easy. Meanwhile, Shifas will start to New Delhi on the 9th of December for the AIIMS counselling. All the best to him!

Update about Julie : (07/12/03)

As you all know, Julie is doing M. D. Ophthalmology at CMC, Vellore. She has a mobile number which is given on her bio page (view bio). She's very busy all around the work-week. It seems the CMC has a work-ethic on par with international standards. All the House Surgeons and PGs are offered plenty of opportunities to do procedures and develop their skills. Even the consultants are very hard working. Have a great working experience, Julie!

Reema is getting married on the 25th of December : (05/12/03)

Reema Basheer is getting married on the 25th December, Thursday (12.15 hrs) at Municipal Town Hall, Alwaye. A reception is arranged at Institution of Engineer's Hall, Vellayambalam Trivandrum between 3.00pm and 7.30pm on 27th Dec., Saturday. She will reach TVM on 15th Dec, and will be home upto 22nd Dec. Her fiance Salim is presently working in Muscat. Best wishes!

Anish MR, who's working as a tutor in SPM at Karakonam is an all in all personality there. He is appointed by the Director of the institution as an organiser of various programmes in the college, including the AIDS day , Christmas Day celebrations etc. We did expect it, didn't we?

Sheenu meets Kumar and Clark! : (01/12/03)

Sheenu, who's doing M. D. General Medicine at Stanley Medical College, Chennai had the honor of interacting with Dr. Parveen Kumar and Dr. Michael Clark (who wrote Kumar and Clark). She, along with a senior PG and a few HS, met the two eminent docs at the Taj Coromandel hotel. There were students from MMC and Sri Ramachandra Medical College. Dr. Parrveen is an energetic and wonderful person to talk to. They wanted to revise there book before next edition and wanted suggestions and criticisms. Congrats Sheenu!
