Murali singing on Asianet!!! (31/01/03)

To answer all the queries about his whereabouts, the man himself has come out of the darkness. Yes! Murali called me up yesterday after he got the information about the rumor ciruculating about him. There was another reason for the phone call. He wanted some publicity for his appearance at a talent show, Saptaswaram on Asianet. The particular episode is going to be aired on Saturday (1st of Feb) 8. 30 PM and a repeat telecast on Monday (Feb 3rd) at 9. 00 AM on Asianet. Don't miss it for anything! About his GPing, he is joing back to S. U. T. in General Medicine from the 1st of February.

Updates about Professor and Achayan : (31/01/03)

Professor has again e-mailed me informing that Achayan has moved to Birmingham. So they are living separately now. He wanted me to correct his bio on the site. Read his article about PLAB and it's preps.

As part of the wave of GPing which has lashed on our batch, these guys have also started going to different hospitals. Anoop (Trivandrum) is working in a few hospitals near Kazhakkoottam and Attingal. (Courtesy Chakku)

Where on earth is Murali? (26/01/03)

We have been wondering, for quite some time now, about the whereabouts of our dearest singer. The curiosity was re-ignited when I happened to get overtaken by a super cool looking Murali on a busy main road in rush hour traffic. On the day after Anoop S. got his new bike, he headed to Murali's home to see what was up with him. And the news is that Murali is making loads of money at GP in a remote hospital in Idukki. Let's hope saves enough to give us all a grand treat afterwards. (Courtesy Anoop S. Trivandrum)

The big party at Technopark Club on New Year's Eve (01/01/03)

I had the most wonderful night yesterday. As I have told you, my friends played at Technopark's own Vishakha Restaurant for the Technopark Club's new year celebrations. I was there from late afternoon. Really enjoyed rigging up the equipment with my gang. As I told you the entry to the party was free. The food was at a price. WE had a really loud audio setup which generated great tonality of bass. Late into the evening, the music started blaring LIVE from the men I jam with and it was, in reality, SO MUCH FUN!

Three songs into the show, the crowd was on their toes dancing! And MY OH MY, our dear friend Roshan Uthup Varghese (who was on the guitar and who by the way is a schoolmate and friend of our own Siby) really rippped it! The solo of of the 'staple-song' "Hotel California" would make any guitarist turn green with envy! The drummer kicked arse and was the toast among the active members of the crowd. The vocalists sang well and the bass was all so groovy! All in all, it was a real good show.

The booze was flowing and there was even a little fight among the drunkards. At the stroke of midnight, the lights went out and there was a brilliant display of fireworks, just like the kind of thing you get on CNN for the 4th of July. Whoa and then we tailed of the show
with some really loud groovy numbers. Siby, you missed it and you missed it for your life!!!

The manager of the restaurant was like overwhelmed with the response that the band generated and was more than pleased with the performance. We had recorded the whole gig on casettes and when we played the tapes back through one of the car sterios, baby ooooooh,
it was sounding GOOD!
