Ajeetav gets selected for a summer project : (24/10/03)

Ajeetav Nayak (who is doing an MBA course at the FMS, New Delhi) has been selected by Ranbaxy for a Summer Project as part of the MBA course. It's for a duration of three months and can be compared to our Internship. The stipend is Rs. 15, 000 as cash and *FREE* 3 Star and 5 Star accommodation in Mumbai and Hyderabad. The travel is also free! Congrats Ajee!!

Joan and baby doing well : (23/10/03)

Joan Felicita Samson is at home after her delivery. She sustained a Pubic Symphyseal Subluxation during the process and is now under bed rest for approximately 6 months. Except for such an inconvenience, she and the baby are doing really well. Meanwhile Libu has joined for M. D. Community Medicine at Kozhikkode Medical College. The whole batch wishes Joan speedy recovery!

Murali and Chinta are preparing for the USMLE staying at Bangalore. Jeevesh met them a couple of times during his stay in Bangalore. They are enjoying the lectures and are hoping to clear the exams soon! All the best guys!

Manoj S. (Uganda) clears PLAB Part 1 : (12/10/03)

Manoj S. (also known as "Uganda") had cleare PLAB 1 with the likes of Ambareesh, Manoj Moni etc. He was working in technopark as an MO earlier. Congratulations to Manoj! Meanwhile, Ambareesh is planning to go to U. K. in November. Manoj Mony though, is planning to write the All India Entrance before going.

Ajee doing very well in Delhi : (11/10/03)

When Parmeshwar was in New Delhi for his SSC (Short Service Commission) interview, he met Ajeetav. Ajee is doing really well in New Delhi. He's topping the batch at the FMS which is no mean feat. He's working very hard for this obviously. But, as we've heard from the man himself, he doesn't miss out on any opportunity to have fun with parties etc. Ajee's sister doing HS in Medical College Trivandrum has given a hint that he might come to Trivandrum for a project or so.

Correction on the PK story : (11/10/03)

I had written a while back that Parmeshwar Kumar had cleared the SSC (Short Service Commission) test. But, as I came to know last week, there is no test. He's cleared the SSC interview and medical and will now join the Armed Forces sometime early next year. I had an extensive discussion about this and have typed in an extensive article about options for us in the Army. I'll be posting it soon, thanks to PK!

Jamie's sister joins Karakkonam MC : (03/10/03)

Jamie T. Jacob's sister Jeffy has enrolled into the Karakkonam Medical College as a First Year M. B. B. S. student. She joins Sivaprasad's sister (who has joined the Medical College Trivandrum) as new entries related to our batch in the field of Medicine. Welcome and congratulations Jeffy!

Joan, Annie and Dona Mary become mothers : (01/10/03)

Joan has delivered a 3.3 kg male baby last week at KIMS hospital. Both the baby and the mother are doing well. She is at home now. Annie Twinkle and Dona Mary have also delivered (both about 3 weeks back). No further news is available about them. Meanwhile, Rekha is back home after her delivery.

Smitha Mariyam weds : (01/10/03)

Smitha Mariyam got married to Vivian Thomas at a function at the St. Thomas Marthoma Church, Kuriyannoor, Thiruvalla on the 1st of October. KKM was the only person from the batch to attend the wedding. Vivian is a pediatrician. Congratulations and best wishes to the couple!
