The Kerala PG Entrance Counselling issue :
(27/02/03)
As
most of you know, the Entrance Counselling has been
postponed due to a Court order. The problem they rank
holders are facing is a possible course lag of about
6 months. Apparently, there is a time limit before
which they have to get enrolled as PGs after which,
no matter what happens, the course would start late.
According to the latest news, there has been no move
from the candidates to give a case against this delay.
I would like to reimnd you that the Entrance was on
the 29th of September in 2002 and results came out
two weeks after that. (Courtesy

M. B. B. S. admissions to be
completed before Sept 30th : (23/02/03)
The
I. M. C. has issued a directive to the medical colleges
regarding the admissions to the M. B. B. S. course
starting this year. According to it, the admissions
to the Medical Colleges have to be completed on or
before the 30th of September. All admissions after
that will be disqualified. It has also stated that
the Medical Entrance results should be published on
or before the 15th of June. (Courtesy

Kerala

The
Kerala Entrance Counselling has been put on stay by
a court order. Apparently, there is some problem with
the handicapped reservation and lecturer quota. (Courtesy

Kerala
Entrance Counselling from tomorrow : (17/02/03)
The
Kerala Entrance Counselling will start from tomorrow.
On the first day of the counselling, it's the turn
of a few of our batchmates. Soumya C. V. (#1) has
indicated that she will opt for a General Medicine
seat. The other two toppers from our batch Philson
and Arun Raj are also rumored to go for the same.
So 3 out of 6 seats in General Medicine are to be
taken by our own batchmates. (Courtesy

Updates on KKM, Abhishek, John, Jeevesh and
more : (17/02/03)
The
first four have booked the train reservations to New
Delhi for the AIPGE Counselling which will start on
the 5th of January. KKM is considering joining for
M. D. ped a respectable institution even outside Kerala.
Abhi and John have decided to join wherever they get
posted during the interview. Sulala might opt for
a General Surgery course anywhere in Kerala. Since
Jeevesh's interview is on the 15th, he won't be attempting
the JIPMER exam scheduled on the 16th at Chennai.
Anoop Sudarsanan has plans to try again for the coming
entrances. Chakku has stopped all GP activities and
is preparing earnestly for Manipal. Deepak is still
carrying on with GPing.
The
results are out; Deepthi S., Ajith, KKM and Sabari

results can be accessed by clicking here - All
India Results. Now for the cool news! The '96
Batch has reinstated it's claims to be one of the
best in academic records. No wonder why we have four

Entrance. Can you believe the rank of Deepthi S.,
Ajit, KKM and Sabari? I think these are the best results
after SOUMYA's AIIMS 7th rank!!! Whoa!! Kudos, congrats
all three of them! For the rest of the guys, you are
simply making us all really proud!

All
India Results Update : (15/02/03)
A
little help with the results thingy! I've been trying
to access the site at this address www.aiims.ac.in.
Once I got into the "Examinations" subsection
on the site. From there I got into the actual result
page of the All India Entrance. I tried accessing
the results, but they aren't still posted I guess.
But I've go the URL of the results page. Here it is!
http://203.200.65.120/step4.htm
I
guess you can all access this link for getting the
results. And for the home page of AIIMS (http://www.aiims.ac.in)
there is a mirror page for it on this URL http://www.aiims.edu.
Maybe this will be less used (and therefore faster)
as compared to the ac.in address.
All
India Results around the Corner : (14/02/03)
As
I'm typing this, it's about 11. 40 PM on the 14th
of February. I've already heard rumors about the result
being out and being posted on the site. I've been
trying to visit the site for the past half an hour,
but in vain. There is a strong possibility that this
might be due to the fact that the enormous traffic
on the site (after this rumor) has caused this. Anyway,
I hope to get access later on in the night. Till then,
keep up the hopes everyone! The link to the page is

Julie
gets D. O. at CMC, Vellore : (08/02/03)
Kudos
to Julie! Yes, she's been selected for a seat for
D. Ophthalmology at C. M. C. Vellore. She is the only
one among the three (Sebind and Deepa along with her)
to get selected after the interview. According to
the present information, she is going to take up the
course. On behalf of the whole batch, I wish to congratulate
Julie on her achievement! (Courtesy
Sundar Singh)
Deepa
Joseph also gets selected : (07/02/03)
Thanks
to the information from Sundar Singh, Deepa Joseph
also got selected for D. A. in C. M. C. Vellore after
the examination. The interview results are expected
today. Let's wish the trio best of luck for interview
results. (Courtesy
Sundar Singh)
Julie
and Sebind get selected for interview : (06/02/03)
According
to the latest news from Vellore, our batchmates Julie
and Sebind got selected for the interview after the
CMC Vellore Exam. Julie got selected for D. O. (Diploma
in Ophthalmology I guess) and D. M. R. D. (D. M. Radio
Diagnosis?) and Sebind got selected from D. P. M.
(Diploma in Psychiatric Medicine). The rest of the
gang didn't make it to this stage. Only 24 candidates
are selected for interview out of the lot which attempt
the exam. The results of the interview will be posted
at the College tomorrow. The whole gang is starting
back from Vellore today evening. (Courtesy

CMC
Vellore Report : (05/02/03)
The
CMC Vellore Entrance Examinations conducted two days
back generated a mixed response from our batch. Sundar
Singh had a decent exam while for Siby, the exam was
terrible. Those who went to CMC to write the exam
were Sundar, John, Jerry, Biju, Julie, Siby, Sebind,
Smitha etc. There were two papers viz. general and
special. The question standard was good. The one thing
that our gang enjoyed was the awesome college, campus
and hospital complexes at CMC. They are expected to
be back to Trivandrum shortly. (Courtesy

Medical PG Inteview : (04/02/03)
The interview for the admission to the Medical PG
Course will be held at the office of the DME on the
Medical College Campus in Thiruvananthapuram from
the 18th to 22nd and 24th of February. The candidates
have to exercise their option at the time of the interview
and will not be permitted to change the option later
on. (Courtesy
