Manipal Entrance Notification : (09/02/04)

The notification for the Manipal Entrance examination has been issued at the MAHE website. The examination will be held on the 28th of March (Sunday, just the next day after the Kerala Entrance) at various centres. Mangalore is the nearest centre for aspirants from Kerala. The last date of comleted application forms is the 6th of March and the results will be published on the 5th of April (NRI) and 10th of April (General). The classes will begin on the 5th of May.

Sebind Kumar has passed the interview and has got a DPM (Psychiatry) seat at the C. M. C. Vellore. Having got what he has wanted for a year now, he is very happy and is all set to join for the course soon.

CMC Vellore Entrance results : (06/02/04)

The restuts for the CMC Vellore examination held over the last weekend have been declared. From our batch, Mini Mathew (DO)[view profile], Sebind Kumar (DPM) [view profile] and Elizabeth Joseph (DGO, DO)[view profile] have qualified in the Entrance Examination. They would have to pass the interview to qualify for the seat. Congrats for qualifying in the exam!

Arun Mohan (Rank #56 in MAHE '03) has finally received a call for the M. D. General Medicine seat from the MAHE University. He is going to join for the course and wait for the AIPGE results. Further details will be posted soon. CONGRATULATIONS to "Valsan", who has put in A LOT of hard work while preparing for the entrances.

The Kerala PG Entrance Notification has been issued in the website of the Controller of Examination (http://www.cee-kerala.org). As per the prospectus, the number of seats via the AIPGE is only 25% of the total.

When it's all said and done... : (28/12/03)

The hall tickets have arrived and it's barely two weeks before our D-Day! I guess everyone's preparing earnestly for the AIPGME. I wish all the aspirants a great fortnight leading up to the entrance. And when it's all said and done, we all should be doing a well-deserved PG course! All the best, everyone!

Kerala Entrance Noti-follies! : (25/12/03)

I guess everyone's aware of the fact that the CEE has taken off the files (the Application Form and the Prospectus) just two days after it had posted it without the notification. It is very irresponsible and naive on their part to do such a thing. I had e-mailed them about a week back and you guessed it right, not even an acknowledgment as reply. This comes at time when almost all the other state entrance notifications are being published all over India. Let us hope this confusion will be over in a few days. I had downloaded the both the documents when they were posted on the site. I'm posting it on the site so that you can download them if you wish.

All India PG Quota increased to 50% : (25/12/03)

This was a rumor about a couple of months back. Now it's almost confirmed with the fact that some of the notifications in other states (such as Jharkand) have been re-formatted based on this ruling. We have also confirmed it with the DME at Trivandrum. This basically means that the AIPGME is the only realistic chance of getting through to a PG seat. So study hard!

CMC Vellore Entrance Examination Applications : (01/11/03)

The CMC Vellore has called for application for the entrance next year. These are the details.

Courses begin on 1st March 2004. For post graduate course, candidates can apply for a maximum of four courses in 2 subjects. Application forms for all the course should reach the Registrar's offlice by 15.12.2003.

The applications and the prospectus would be available at Rs. 300/- payable as a chalan at no extra cost at any branch of the ICICI Bank in India, (mention FC-CMC-V on the Chalan) or demand draft in favour of "CMC Vellore Association a/c" payable at S. B. I. Bagyam; or any scheduled bank payable at Vellore.

The address to which this has to be sent : The Office of The Registrar, CMC, Thorapadi P. O., Vellore - 632002 with a letter requestion for a PG Medical Prospectus for 2004. State your full address with Pin-Code. Mention your telephone number and e-mail address if available. No additional money, stamps or envelopes are required.
