Update about Poornima : (22/04/04)
Poornima is now
in Vancouver, Canada where her husband Suraj has joined
as a postdoc fellow in the University of British Columbia.
Vancouver is a beautiful city and no wonder it has
been voted the best city to live in the world! In
the professional front, she has cleared the first
exam of the Canadian Medical licensing exam and now
is preparing for the second one coming up next month.
She hopes to apply for residency after that.

Althaf is already
into preparing his final year thesis. He's having
a heavy time with alternate day 24 hour duties. Sabari
Gireesh also has hands full with a busy residency
in Orthopedics! Nasim Siyad is enjoying his new family-man
role to the full. In his free time, he is engrossed
with Kerala politics and driving his fabulous Skoda
Octavia. Sundeep is having a relatively easy time
during his rotation at KMC Attawar in Mangalore. Sreejith
P. K. is back to the Attawar after a short visit to
home.

in M1 after an attack of Chicken Pox. He is very busy
organizing CMEs etc in the Department. Althaf has

Great news folks,
Dennis has managed to get admission to the Ph. D course
in Neuroscience in Johns Hopkins university (the #2
Medical College in the world) in Baltimore. He will
join his fiance at the institution. Neeraja (his fiance)
is already doing her Ph. D. there. About the marriage,
it will be held on the 14th of July. The details will
be posted later. Congratulations to Dennis!

Sowmya has already
gone and joined the NHL Medical College, Ahmedabad
in M. S. General Surgery. She has come back and is
on her way back to Ahmedabad to attend some sort of
meeting for the candidates who have qualified in Gujarat
Medical colleges, via the AIPGE. The classes begin
later on this month. Congrats!!!

girl is Femitha (JIPMER graduate, who will begin M.
D. Paediatrics at JIPMER later on this month). Shifas

Roshan and Sherine
have both been matched into the program of our first
choice at Louisiana State University Health Science
Center (LSUHSC). They are very glad that both of them
got into the same program. That too, in specialties
of their choice (Sherine in Medicine and Roshan in
Pediatrics). The location is in the southern part
of the US and it's warmer! And in the path Sherine
did very well with 99% in the Parts I and II. They
are planning on coming to India in April last week,
before starting their residencies. Congratulations!!!
