Professor Noel Narayanan :
It
is a great pleasure to know that the house surgeons
of the 1996 batch are releasing a souvenir. It marks
the culmination of five and a half years of study and
will be a much valued side door to nostalgia in the
future. The basics were laid in this period and that
will act as a strong foundation for each of you in your
respective paths. I would like to say that PG entrance
is not an end-and–all. There are many other avenues
for the not so lucky ones, each carrying its own mark
of respectability.
Wishing all of you the very best, always
Dr.

Professor and HOD

Dr.
Suseela B. Nair :
I
am indeed happy to communicate with you all through
this souvenir. You must be very happy now that you have
grown out of the pupa stage to that of the butterfly;
that is from the undergraduate student to a junior doctor.
Gone are the innumerable days of anxiety and worry when
you had to ‘burn the midnight oil’.
Night succeeds twilight, but on earth no darkness is
perpetual and dawn follows invariably. And life, like
Tennyson’s brook, flows on, regardless.
Health is the right of every individual. To treat the
ill, the doctor must have sound physical as well as
mental health. Devotion to knowledge, absence of anger
and hatred, compassion towards fellow human beings,
patience and humility are virtues that are rarely seen
now-a-days among doctors. But these are essential qualities
for any good doctor and you will be remembered forever
for these good qualities.
May God bless you all to do your best for relieving
human suffering. May you all become valuable citizens
to your society.
With
all good wishes
Dr. Suseela B. Nair
Prof. & HOD
Dept Of Ophthalmology.
Dr. Indu P. :
I
feel really proud and happy that one more batch of well
trained doctors are ushered into the community for finding
out and solving the ailments of the people, both physical
and mental. I wish success to the young doctors in their
professional and personal life.

Dr.
Vijayalekshmi Menon :
I
am glad to note that the MBBS students of this institution
belonging to the 1996 batch intend to hold their convocation
ceremony in a befitting manner. Such events have been
a tradition of this institution since its inauguration
fifty years back. I am also glad to hear that a souvenir
is being released to commemorate the above occasion.
I wish the function all success.
Dr.
Vijayalekshmi Menon
