I am happy and pleased to know that the house surgeons of ‘96 batch are releasing the souvenir in connection with the convocation ceremony. Medical Profession is considered as a noble profession. In spite of immense problems, a doctor has to face in his practice, one should be proud of being a part of this profession. As the young enthusiastic doctors of the beginning of this millennium, you have a very bright future and immense responsibility on your shoulders to mould the health care system. I extend my full patronage for the grand success of the convocation ceremony and the souvenir. I wish a successful, bright and prosperous future for the outgoing graduates of the 1996 batch.

The convocation ceremony is a great watershed in the life of young medicos. From the relatively carefree, worry-free and responsibility free life of collegians you are getting transformed into doctors, who should shoulder great responsibilities both professional and social.

  • Let not callousness or carelessness ever mar your professional achievements.
  • Let empathy and sympathy be the hallmarks of your relationships with your patients.
  • Let there be no let up in your strive to keep abreast with the latest developments in the specialty of your choice, so that the benefits from the ever-burgeoning treasure of knowledge about life and diseases are not denied to our society.
  • Let this famous line of the great poet Vayalar Rama Varma be your beacon.
