Medical College Casualty Block Inaugration: (21/12/02)

The official inaugration is on Saturday, 21st December. But the actual opening is expected to be delayed by two weeks as there is still work left pending. The Psychiatry and Physical Medicine Departments which were located here earlier will relocated to the old casualty block. The new block is said to provide World Class Triage Facilities, Operation Theaters with adequate beds, a portable ventilators and a clean Lavage room. Let's hope the casualty lives upto it's expectations. The access for the vehicles is pretty hard by the look of things.

College Library Goes Hi-Fi:(15/12/02)

You wouldn't believe it! I managed to sneak into the college library recently. They have renovated to change it's look almost completely. The hall is now generously lighted. All the fans are working. The sections have been rearranged for easier access to books. There seems to be an increase in number of staff taking care of the library as well. The coolest part is the new computer block on the far end of the library. It's supposed to be a information treasure house with internet access et al. Rates per hour for the factulty/students is tolerable. But if you plan to copy your documents on to a floppy, it's going to cost you about Rs. 100/-! Of course, to gain access to this you have enroll as a member.

Caution Deposit News:(08/12/02)

Apparently, due to the lack of funds from the Government, the distribution of Caution Deposits has been cancelled, at least for a few days. This started to effect from the 2nd of week of December. Officials say that it'll take some time before the money is re-alloted. So, for those who want to collect their CDs, take your time before you head to the college office for the one last time, at least as a Graduate student.
