(20/08/04) Sheenu, who's doing M. D. General Medicine at Stanley Medical College, Chennai had the honor of interacting with Dr. Parveen Kumar and Dr. Michael Clark (who wrote Kumar and Clark). She, along with a senior PG and a few HS, met the two eminent docs at the Taj Coromandel hotel. There were students from MMC and Sri Ramachandra Medical College. Dr. Parrveen is an energetic and wonderful person to talk to. They wanted to revise there book before next edition and wanted suggestions and criticisms. Congrats Sheenu! (05/03/03) Here are a few words from Sheenu about her life at Chennai "Stanley is a good old college. The government has not shown much interest in developing it like the Madras Medical College. Cases are really good and fit the text book description. As here people are very poor, workup cannot be done much. Academics are ok. We are planning 2 compensate it by attending more CMEs and classes in other institutions. We met a few teachers here - like our Mathew Thomas sir and Krishnadas sir, real giants in medicine. One is Dr. K. V. T.- Dr. K. V. Thiruvenkitachalam . He is 70 plus. But the enthusiasm with which he takes classes - WOW! I have got 2 batchmates - Gireesh and Jayameena, both from calicut.
